As always, Child’s Voice is so proud of our alumni that have graduated from Child’s Voice. They continue to succeed using the tools gained during their time in our programs. Ethan Urbanski is one of the many success stories about which we are pleased to continue to brag.
Ethan (class of 2004) has been busy since his time at Child’s Voice. As a recent graduate from Libertyville High School, Ethan knew high school would bring new experiences and challenges and wanted to be prepared. He certainly excelled during his four years as a Wildcat. Ethan is an Honor Roll student, a National Honor Society member, and has received the College Academic Scholarship and the Libertyville Lions Club Scholarship. Ethan, an all-academic student in both Lacrosse and Cross Country, also set a great leadership example during his time in high school. He participated in many extracurricular activities and even started a Deaf Student Club during his Junior Year. He is headed to Butler University in the fall where he plans to study Business and Health Care. Go Bulldogs!
Outside of his academics, Ethan volunteers through many different organizations. He continues to talk to parents and children about growing up with a hearing loss through Illinois Hands & Voices and Guide-By-Your-Side. Ethan has also spoken to many other organizations about hearing loss, including Child’s Voice. Recently, Ethan participated in AG Bell LOFT in Orlando in 2014.
Ethan is getting great experience for his Business and Health Care degree while working for Liberty Hearing and Health as a product management summer intern. He is one of only two interns and was selected out of 22 applicants.
Congratulations, Ethan, and the rest of the Child’s Voice alumni on completing another great school year!
