As Child’s Voice students, families and staff practice for our upcoming Recognition Ceremony on May 22, I ran across this article about transition and it truly resonated with me.
Child’s Voice is a mainstream preparation program. Our mission, as you are all aware, is to empower children with hearing loss to be successful in all educational and social settings by optimizing their listening speaking and academic skills. To do this successfully, we are very mindful of what is contained in the following article. Please click here to read the article.
For all our students, before they leave us and enter the mainstream, we address each one of these themes. You can find more topics on the article’s website. For all our current families, please keep these themes in mind about your child.
Our Recognition Ceremony is just one mountain top our graduates reach, but we know there are many more victories in their future. These will be attained during their mainstream experiences and beyond. Be prepared for many happy celebrations to come for your child.
P.S. To all our alumni and alumni families… we know you’re busy with graduations and milestones too. Please keep in touch and let us know about these exciting achievements. We want to hear from you!
