Six Days – Five Nights – Zero Parents – Countless Friends
Hear Indiana’s Listening and Spoken Language Camp gives children and teenagers with hearing loss (ages 8 – 18) the opportunity to make new friends with shared life experiences. The camp works to further leadership and assertiveness skills in a structured atmosphere: “Fun with a Purpose”. Children participate in all typical outdoor camp activities, with self-advocacy and leadership skills added into each exercise. Additionally, deaf and hard of hearing mentors are integrated into the camp, so everyone has a role model for success.
The camp will be held at Happy Hollow Children’s Camp, a 900-acre camp in Nashville, IN on June 17 – June 22, 2018. Highlights of the camp include: swimming, sports, creek walks, archery, ropes courses, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, friendships, art and crafts, challenge course and leadership development.
